FIRE & ICE AND EVERYTHING NICE!

Marketing lesson learned from Disney On Ice

Last week my nine year old granddaughter and I went to see a production of Disney On Ice.  The show was very entertaining and enjoyable but my marketer's mind was pleasantly surprised to see how the entertainers also made their customers part of the show. At one point the actors asked the audience to put their arm up and point to the left, no to the right, wait it was the left or was it....

Well you get the picture!  The characters in the production got the kids (both big and little) actively involved in the outcome of the scene.  I marveled at how cleverly and smoothly this was done. Which brings me to today's lesson. How often do you as a marketer get your customers to interact with you other than purchasing a product?

If you want your business to grow then knowing what your customers' needs and wants are will give you a big advantage over other marketers. How can you gather this information?  Well a short survey of three to five questions is an excellent way to get your buyers to interact with you.   Keep the survey short and sweet so you get plenty of responses.  But let's take this idea one step further.  When is the best time to do a survey?

How about on the "Thank You Page" after they just have purchased a product from you?

Instead of trying to up sell them into a more expensive product; ask them to take the survey so you can be sure that you are fulfilling their needs.  Think about the bonding experience and good will feelings you will generate. I'd like to claim this idea as mine because I think it is awesome, but I picked it up from another marketer.

Of course once you have the results of the survey you can model your business around your customers' needs and wants. And that is the way to grow a successful business whether is on line or off.

Take care,

Marie Dawn

Trying to avoid the frustration of information overload even if it's free

There is so much information online about work at home programs (a lot of it free) that it is literally overwhelming.  Information overload was one trap that I have to learn to overcome. Every new product seemed like the answer to my problem or what I needed to get my online business up and running.  For months I was buying information products just knowing this was the one I needed to succeed!  Yet after purchasing and trying program after program, it seemed as if I was given only part of the puzzle.  Finally it hit me that I just needed to create a good foundation for building a business and stop grabbing all the information out there.

And then who came along but Mike Filsaime with his instant website, blog and products. You don't need to know html or be computer savvy to use this program. And who better to have for a JV partner than one of the smartest information marketers around who has already made millions from the web.  What a win-win for you!

But whether you decide to build your own site or sign up for InstantAffilateWebsite visit this blog regularly to get the sharpest info packed articles to help your business explode!
